CELEBRATION OF VANMAHOTSAV IN RPS

“He who plants a tree, plants hope” ~ Lucy Lacron  Van Mahotsav is an annual tree planting festival celebrated in India. It was made a national activity in 1950 by the Minister of Food and Agriculture, Kanaiyalal Maneklal Munshi. It is celebrated in the first week of July as this coincides with the onset of the monsoon.The celebration of Van Mahotsav in Rungta Public School, that runs under the aegis of SRGI, was an ideal opportunity to instill personal and social responsibility in our students towards safeguarding trees and forests.
