World Pharmacists Day was jointly organized by the Rungta Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Rungta Institute and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions. The event was presided over by Mr. Sanjay Rungta, Chairman of the Group as Chief Guest and Mr. Saket Rungta, Group Director, attended the function as Guest of Honour. The program was inaugurated by the guests amidst chanting of Saraswati Vandana and lightning of lamp. Sanjay Rungta, Chairman thanked all the pharmacists as they performed their responsibilities towards society.  Presently all the pharmacists of India are dedicated to fight COVID-19 disease as a challenge and coordinating with other health workers in fighting against this deadly disease.  He called upon everyone to follow the guidelines issued by the government to deal with Corona.  He motivated the Principal and the academic staff of the institution to work more and more to provide quality education to the students.  He assured to provide all the facilities to take the institution to the highest peak and make it a research centre.

Principal Dr.  J.  R.  Patel informed about the COVI-19 disease and its severity. Due to prolonged lockdown and curfew, the general public is staying at home due to which growth in cholesterol in human body as well as the chances of heart disease have increased.  Due to reduced physical activity, there has been an increase in serious diseases like diabetes as well.  The college conducted online competitions like Pharmaquiz and e-logo for the students, in which e-certificates were distributed to the winning first, second and third position holders.  On this occasion, the Principal of the institution, Dr.  J.  R.  Patel delivered a lecture on the topic “Saving society from global pandemic corona”.

Packets of herbal hand wash and mixture of herbs certified by research to increase immunity in the body were prepared by pharmacy teachers under the guidance of the Principal and presented to all the guests present in the program.  The Chairman of the group also inaugurated the garden of the medicinal plants of the institution on the occasion.

Group Assistant Director Mohd Shajid Ansari, Dr.S .V. Deshmukh, Principal RSR Rungta College of Engineering & Technology;  Shyam Mishra, Dean (Training & Placement); Rinkey Sahu, Principal Rungta ITI ,  Dr.Lokesh Singh, Dean (Academic) were present on the occasion.  Seema Kashyap, Jai Shri, Madhu Sahu and Ashutosh Patankar were congratulated by the Principal for making this program a grand success.
