Plantation drive organized at Sanjay Rungta Group

Rungta Dental College under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions organized a plantation drive on the occasion of World Environment Day on 5th June, 2021 to promote environmental consciousness among the faculties and the students. The program was inaugurated by the Director of SRGI, Mr. Saket Rungta by planting a sapling in the campus. The Director in his address said that as human beings we must always try to live in harmony with our environment and nature. Planting more trees will help to reduce the pollution burden on Earth and create a sustainable environment for our future generations and by God’s gift we are the only species on this planet, who can actually plant trees as well as nourish and nurture them. The Dean, Dr. Kartik Krishna M. and the organizing resource person of the program Dr. Ram Tiwari also planted the saplings. The Dean appealed the gathering to create a conscience among them for planning more trees. He also stressed on the fact that as a responsible organization we must do our part by maintaining a plastic and tobacco free campus and also by following meticulous waste management system. He also said that being a health care organization, we can assume a community leadership role and inform, educate and communicate with people to spread awareness about environment protection. The program was attended by all the principals of various institutes of SRGI along with their faculties and students who took active part in the activity.

Along with the program drive the Department of Peridontology, RCDSR organized an online essay competition for the Postgraduate & Undergraduate students. The following students were declared as winners who thereafter received certificate of Merit. In the PG and intern category Anshika Das (Intern) first prize, second prize Dr. Anuhree Koyande( PGPedodontics). In the UG category Neelam Sahi (BDS 1st), Vedangi Indurkar (BDS 1st) and Pratyush Srivastava (BDS 2nd) got the first, second and consolation prize respectively.
